Drew Neilson was 19 when he joined. He runs Nexus Media, a content production agency serving e-commerce brands, mostly ad creatives, and he'd been doing content professionally since high school. The craft was never the problem. The pipeline was.
Today Nexus Media runs at more than $25K a month in recurring revenue, on profitable ads, one core offer, and a structured sales system. This is how he tells the story in the interview above, filmed at one of our live events.
A Year of Watching First
Drew didn't arrive from an ad. He found Ayrton on a podcast, followed the trail to Instagram and YouTube, and consumed the free content for about a year.
"I come to the sales call and I'm like, yeah dude, I just want to pay. I was ready to go. The amount of value I got from all your free content showed me the skills I could learn."
The business itself had one problem above all the others: no leads.
"I just didn't have an income of leads. I didn't have any way to get new clients into the business. I really wanted a way I could consistently get new leads and sign more clients so I could scale."
Four Weeks to a Record Month
Before joining, Drew's business averaged around $3K a month. His best month ever was six or seven.
"Then I turned the ads on that the system helped me create. Within about a month, four weeks, I hit a record month, a $15K month. Double what the previous record was. And so many leads that I literally had to reduce the budget on the ads."
Read that last part again. Ten to twenty sales calls a week, and the fix was turning the ads down. For an agency that had zero lead flow a month earlier, that's the entire pipeline problem inverted.
The Problem Success Created
Drew is upfront about what happened next, because it's the trap waiting on the other side of lead flow: delivery.
"I ended up taking on too many clients, saying yes to too many people with the really low prices I had at the time. That caused me to not have enough time to fulfill all those clients' orders within the time frame I promised them. But we're past that now."
Ayrton had told him on their first call it would happen: solve leads and 90 days later you have a delivery problem. It's the sequence behind the whole system — demand first, then pricing, then the delivery engine. Drew hit each stage on schedule, and the initial breakthrough has since compounded into $25K+ months of recurring revenue.
Why a 19-Year-Old Pays for a Mentor
Drew had worked with a mentor before, so he'd already learned the meta-lesson most people his age resist.
"If you don't have the help, you don't know what you don't know. You can do books, you can do YouTube university. But the value personalized help creates is absolutely insane. Within the first few months of working together I had essentially double business growth. The investment was back within the first month."
His honest answer on what almost stopped him: the price. "When I first heard it, it was a bit of a roadblock. But I knew that investment was going to be worth it, and it's 100% paid off."
His Advice From the Fence
"If I never did this program, I'd probably be a year behind where I possibly could be. And trying to figure those things out on your own, it's not just time it takes you. It's a lot of mistakes, and money, because you're making mistakes that cost you money. In the long run it is insanely worth it."
The Lesson
Drew's ceiling was never talent. Six years of content skills couldn't produce a single predictable lead. One installed acquisition system doubled his record month in four weeks, and the compounding since then, clearer offer, higher prices, structured sales, is what turned a spike into $25K+ recurring. Skill gets you in the game. Systems decide how big the game gets.
